Your sales reach NexReps from your POS. The connection is set up by NexReps, once per venue — you do not see it, set it or break it. This page explains what it is, so you know what to ask for.
One venue, one POS account
Each venue is connected to the POS account that sells for it: one restaurant, one location, one merchant — whatever your POS calls it. The identifiers and the access key your POS provider issues are entered by NexReps, which can test the connection before saving it.
Several outlets on one POS account — a hotel with three restaurants — appear as three venues, each a cost center of the same account. See Key concepts.
What is set per venue
Business day start — the hour, between 1am and 8am, before which a sale counts toward the previous day. It is set one hour after the venue stops serving: 5am for most restaurants, 7am for a club.
Check-level ingestion — whether NexReps reads every check, for Check Analyse and item reporting. It is off where the POS access has no check access.
Daily forecasting — whether the venue gets a daily forecast. It is off where sales depend on programming rather than history: a club night with a headliner and an ordinary Saturday look the same to a four-week average.
When something looks wrong
A venue shown as down on the dashboard, a day that stops at 11pm, a missing service: the connection is NexReps’ side. Contact NexReps with the venue and the day. If a day was closed late on the POS, you can pull it again yourself — see Data → Sync Day.
If you change POS, or your POS provider gives you a new access key, tell NexReps before the switch.
