Summer menu, winter menu, brunch. A venue’s recipe list grows with every season. Labels let you show the recipes that matter now — and put the rest out of sight without deleting anything.
Labels are made by a chef, an owner or an administrator, one venue at a time, in Settings → Recipes.

The labels of a venue
Pick the venue, type a name — Summer — and Add label. Each label shows how many Recipes carry it. The pencil renames it; the bin deletes it.
Default is always first, and Locked: it is not a label you create, but the recipes that have none. They always show.
Shown and hidden
Turn Shown off and the label’s recipes leave every recipe list — the cooks’ included.
A recipe can carry several labels. It stays visible as long as one of its labels is shown. A recipe without a label is Default and always shows.
Preparations follow the dishes that use them: hide the summer dishes, and the preps only they use go with them.
Labels are display only. Stock, costs, counts and the menu never change when you hide a label.
Labelling recipes
One recipe: open it, Edit, and type in Labels. The × on a label takes it off.
Many recipes: on Kitchen → Recipes, click Select.

Click the cards you want, or Select all for everything the filters show.
Add label or Remove label — choose the label. Before anything is written, the window says what will change: which recipes get the label, which are left as they are, and which become Default because they lose their last label.
Delete — the same as deleting from a recipe, for every selected recipe. When the list is filtered on a label, a recipe that carries another label too can be removed from this label only instead. See Recipes.
Cancel leaves select mode.
Filtering by label
On the recipe list, the label filter shows All labels, Default (no label), or one label. Hidden labels are not offered.
