Daily

One venue, one day, in full. This is the page you open mid-service to know where you stand.

Choosing the day

The date picker defaults to today. "Today" means today's business day — it runs to 5am tomorrow, not to midnight. At 1am on Sunday you are still looking at Saturday, because service is still Saturday's.

This is why Daily does not match a POS report that cuts at midnight. See Key concepts.

The numbers

Net sales — after discounts, before tax.

Guests — covers.

Checks — bills closed.

Average check — net sales divided by checks.

Each sits next to the same figure for the reference day, with the gap in percent. The reference is set once for the whole organization — last week, last month or last year. See Configuration.

The hourly chart

Two lines: the day you are looking at, and the reference day.

Past hours with no sales show as zero — the line runs along the bottom. A closed hour is real information. Future hours show nothing — the line stops at the current hour, because we do not know yet.

The break in the line is where "now" is.

Live during service

The numbers move. A venue that is open is still selling.

Which is why comparing three hours of today against a full Saturday would be meaningless — so NexReps does not. The reference is truncated to the same elapsed hours. Three hours of today against three hours of last Saturday.

Once the day is over, both are complete and the comparison is whole.

Product mix

What sold, in quantity and in money. Sorted by revenue by default.

This is the same data that drives Item Sales, narrowed to one day and one venue.

Payments and discounts

How the money came in, and what you gave away.

Discounts are worth a look every day. If they cross the threshold your admin set, you will hear about it — see Smart Alerts. But the number is here before the alert fires.

Single-venue users

If you only have access to one venue, your Dashboard is this page. There is no group to summarise.
