The dashboard is where you land. It answers one question: how is the group doing right now, against what it should be doing.
What you see
If you have several venues — group totals at the top, an hourly chart underneath, then every venue as its own row with its own numbers.
If you have one venue — you get that venue's day directly. Same page as Sales → Daily. There is no group to summarise.
Group totals are the sum of your venues, not the whole organization. Two people looking at the same dashboard can see different numbers, and both are correct — see Venue access.
The numbers
Net sales — after discounts, before tax.
Guests — covers.
Average check — net sales divided by checks.
Each carries a comparison and a delta in percent, green or red. The comparison period is set once for the whole organization by an admin — last week, last month or last year. Everyone sees the same basis.
The hourly chart
Two lines: today, and the reference day.
Past hours with no sales show as zero — the line continues along the bottom, because a closed hour is real information. Future hours show nothing — the line simply stops at the current hour, because we do not know yet.
That break in the line is where "now" is.
Live, not a report
During service, the numbers move. A venue that is open is still selling, and the dashboard shows the pace, not the final total.
Which is why today's delta against last week is misleading until the day is over: you are comparing three hours of today against a full Saturday. NexReps compares like for like — the reference is truncated to the same elapsed hours.
Venue status
Each venue row shows whether it is live, closed, or down.
Down means the connection to that venue's POS has dropped — NexReps is not receiving data. It does not mean the venue is closed. It means we cannot see it.
You cannot fix this yourself: POS connections are managed by NexReps, not from your Settings. If a venue shows as down and it is trading, tell us at info@nexreps.com. Check status.nexreps.com first — if something wider is happening, it will be there.
Business day
The dashboard shows today's business day, which runs to 5am tomorrow.
At 1am, a Saturday night service still counts as Saturday. This is why the dashboard does not match a POS report that cuts at midnight. See Key concepts.
